Vendor Spotlight: Seeking Ferments

Small-Batch Ferments with Big Flavor – There’s a lot more to fermented beverages than kombucha, and Seeking Ferments brings an impressive variety to the Everett Farmers Market.

Crafted in Georgetown, Seattle, Seeking Ferments produces small-batch, organic, raw and unpasteurized fermented beverages using whole fruits, herbs and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Their lineup includes kombucha, jun, tepache, switchels, turmeric sodas and water kefir — each with its own distinctive ingredients and flavor.

Beyond Kombucha – If some of those drinks are new to you, that’s part of the fun.

Jun is similar to kombucha but is traditionally brewed with green tea and honey. Switchel combines apple cider vinegar with ingredients such as maple syrup and fruit, while tepache is a refreshing fermented beverage traditionally made with pineapple and spices.

Seeking Ferments also creates an ever-changing selection of flavors, giving market shoppers plenty of reasons to come back and try something new.

Local Ingredients & Less Waste -Sustainability is an important part of what Seeking Ferments does. They source ingredients from regional farmers whenever possible, compost responsibly and encourage customers to return and reuse bottles through their bottle-swap program.

It’s all part of their focus on good ingredients, mindful production, community and reducing waste.

Find Seeking Ferments every Sunday at the Everett Farmers Market from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by, explore the different ferments and discover a new favorite.
