For more than two decades, Frog Song Farm has been bringing an abundant variety of fresh, seasonal produce to farmers markets throughout the region—including the Everett Farmers Market.
Located on 16 acres of fertile farmland on Fir Island in the Skagit River Delta, Frog Song Farm uses sustainable growing practices, including dry-farming techniques that make thoughtful use of moisture naturally retained in the rich delta soil. The emphasis is on freshness, flavor and growing food with care.
Frog Song’s colorful market tables change throughout the season. Depending on what is ready to harvest, shoppers may find beets, carrots, radishes, potatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, bok choy, heirloom tomatoes, berries, apples, pears, Asian pears—and all kinds of beans. There are often a few interesting seasonal surprises, too.
Everyone seems to have a favorite they look forward to finding at Frog Song Farm. When it’s in season, there is a good chance the Frog Song team will bring it to market.
Behind the farm are longtime farmers Nate O’Neil and Shannon Dignum, along with the hardworking team that harvests the produce and brings it to markets each week. Nate is an experienced farmer with an independent spirit—and, as longtime market friends know, quite a character. Shannon is also a familiar and much-loved face at the market, warmly connecting customers with the farm and everything currently in season.
Frog Song Farm has been part of the regional farmers-market community for many years. In 2026, the farm can be found at the Anacortes Farmers Market and Edmonds Museum Summer Market on Saturdays, as well as the Everett Farmers Market on Sundays.
And why the name Frog Song? It comes from the frogs of Fir Island, whose spring and summer chorus can fill the valley throughout the night.
You won’t find Frog Song Farm on a website or social media—they’re busy farming. The best way to discover what they’re growing is to stop by their booth at the Everett Farmers Market, see what has just come into season and take home a favorite—or find a new one.
