For Blake Ingman, raising cattle began long before Chuckanut Beef was established in 2018.
He received his first bottle calf when he was just two years old and continued raising animals throughout his childhood.
What began as a name for his locker beef has grown into a business offering individual cuts, thoughtfully assembled boxes, and whole, half, and quarter beef.
Chuckanut Beef raises cattle on a natural diet of peas and alfalfa and also offers grass-fed and grass-finished options. Blake takes pride in knowing the history of each animal and providing them with a happy, low-stress life. Lamb is also available.
Look for Chuckanut Beef at the Everett Farmers Market. You can also order online or find their products at Sterling Dairy in Burlington and Garden Treasures in Arlington. They also participate in the Edmonds Winter Market.
