Vendor Spotlight – Doc D’s Apothecary

Doc D’s Apothecary began with someone close to home. Daniel Finley, known as Doc D, has a PhD in chemistry and first created hemp-based lotions and tinctures for a loved one living with a rare autoimmune disorder. Encouraged by family and friends to share what he was making, he and Kelsey Finley established Doc D’s Apothecary in 2021.

Based in Bellingham, this family-run business is at the Bellingham Farmers Market year-round and is also a familiar sight at the Everett Farmers Market. Their products include lotions, bath salts, beauty oils, face mists and serums, massage oil, beard oil, tinctures, and pet oil.

The care behind those first products still guides Daniel and Kelsey’s work. They use organic, natural ingredients and avoid phthalates, parabens, SLS, and petroleum-based ingredients. They never test on animals. Their CBD extract and finished products are tested by an independent lab for potency and purity, with the results available on their website.

They also use glass or recyclable plastic packaging and donate a portion of their profits each year to Conservation Northwest.

Next time you see Doc D’s at the Everett Farmers Market, stop by and say hello to Daniel and Kelsey. They’d be happy to tell you more about the products and the story behind them.
