Washington has always been known to have some of the best produce. Because of our widely diverse climate, we’re able to grow some of the freshest food in the entire country – including our iconic sweet apples, pears, grapes and red raspberries, to name a few.
Most people have been to (or at least, heard of) the famous, long-standing marketplace at Pike Place Market, but you can pick up locally-produced goods in almost every neighborhood around here. We have farmers markets going on all year, but here are 20 of the current (or upcoming) ones that are worth a walk around.
The farmers market in Everett will be kicking off their 2016 season on Mother’s Day, held at the Port of Everett waterfront in their new location at Boxcar Park 615 13th St, Everett. The large, popular marketplace offers almost everything you could ever really need – from fresh fruit to products made by local artists and delectable artisan food.
